Grandeur

by Eunice

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
in the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

- Maya Angelou, “Touched by an Angel”

Within the four walls of the beautifully lit hall, beneath a spectacle of bedazzling iconic chandeliers and a garden of rich marsala hued blooms, Ivan and April clinked their glasses with a knowing smile through their eyes in the midst of all the grandeur.

The cocktail area was flanked with a crowd of guests in awe at the array of the meticulously arranged and crafted nibbles, decadent and delectable, appeasing to everyone’s taste buds and to their utmost delight. It was styled to reflect a mystical woodlands, with a moody tone and ethereal vibe injected with a bolder pantone as the bride resonated with such hues. Wispy drapes entwined with lush creepers and vines brought out the look of the entire bespoke platter of desserts that was entirely wiped out by the charmed crowd within minutes.

The woodlands did not stop at the foyer but extended within the hallways, paving a charming and alluring mystical pathway for a beautiful experience as guests made their way to their rose-gold decorated tables filled with lush red blooms and a personal garden for their viewing pleasure.

As the season of giving approaches our doorsteps, with people bustling about getting ready for the festive spirit and with Christmas playlists beginning to blast from everyone’s Spotify list, this beautifully flourished reception and everything else in between definitely fits the bill for a Christmas-inspired wedding to come.

We hope you are as excited as we are for the most wonderful time of the year! In the meantime, take some time off to bask in some gorgeous portraits of the beautiful couple and the nitty gritty details in between that we can’t help but fall in love with over and over again.
